About the Club
Susquehanna Valley Camaro Club was established to provide fellowship among members and as an outlet for Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts to organize and associate with like-minded car enthusiasts. We strive to preserve, restore, and maintain the Camaro/Firebird and its history. This includes Camaros and Firebirds of all styles: stock, restored, original, and modified, manufactured from 1967 to present.
Firebird of the MonthFirebird of the Month for May is owned by Pete and Nora Petrosky
When Pete got out of the service in Oct 1966, he immediately bought a 1967 Firebird, deep maroon hardtop, black interior, 326 four speed. This is our car when we married in 1968. Various cars came and went, and we raised a family. Close to retirement, we found a 1967 Firebird one Saturday morning in the Lancaster newspaper. By 2:00 it was ours! The car is equipped with 3 speed Muncy full synchro column shift. We decided to restore it as original, which included replacing rear inner fenders, front and rear quarter panels, reskinning the doors, repainting the original rally wheels, and replacing the convertible top. We got the 3.8 Liter OHC engine in running condition. Over the past years, we've focused on maintaining stock appearance as we replaced kick panels, door panels and carpeting. Pete was awarded a $15 gift card from Scoops as the May Camaro of the Month. We also thank Pete and Nora for being long time members. Our Club is affiliated with a National Organization of Camaro and Firebird owners, the All American Camaro and Firebird Association.
