About the Club
Susquehanna Valley Camaro Club was established to provide fellowship among members and as an outlet for Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts to organize and associate with like-minded car enthusiasts. We strive to preserve, restore, and maintain the Camaro/Firebird and its history. This includes Camaros and Firebirds of all styles: stock, restored, original, and modified, manufactured from 1967 to present.
Camaro of the MonthCamaro of the Month for November is owned by Jim Evans. Here is Jim's info:
I purchased my 1968 Camaro on March 10th, 2018 from a gentleman in Barnegat, NJ. It was restored in the late 80’s-early 90’s. The car itself had a little over 57,000 documented original miles on it. It came from the factory as a white, 6-cyl, automatic car. It currently has a 1976 LT1 ‘Vette engine (bored .60 over) with a Muncie M-21 tranny and a Camaro 12-bolt posi with 355 gears. The paperwork that came with the car shows it has a steel crank, 2.02 angle plug “turbo” heads, Comp Cams extreme energy cam, Crane 1.6:1 roller rockers and Hooker super comp headers. It was topped off with a Holley 650, which I recently replaced with a Quick Fuel (Owned by Holley) 750. I mainly made cosmetic changes to it so far, mostly to the interior, with the exception of new front/rear bumpers and adding the side marker lights with the help of fellow club member Steve Segro. Ask Steve about that sometime, he was cool as a cucumber while cutting holes in a ‘68 Camaro (lol)! Thank you for selecting my car for car of the month! I am glad to be a member of a GREAT club, with super great members. Jim was awarded a $15 gift card from Scoops as the November Camaro of the Month. Our Club is affiliated with a National Organization of Camaro and Firebird owners, the All American Camaro and Firebird Association.
